What is the best guitar for rock n roll?

I'm looking to buy a guitar that has the best rock and roll sound ex: The Who , Led Zeppelin , ACDC , that crisp sound , is the Stratocaster , Led Paul , Help me out here|||Buy a Gibson Les Paul and you should be set. Once you save up enough to get a 2nd guitar, buy a Fender Strat with 60s pickups and you'll get all the sounds you want between the both of them.|||At the Fender Stratocaster's 50th Anniversary, David Gilmour was named the best guitarist to ever pick up the famed instrument. If you are a Rock perfectionist, listen to David. He's the best and the Strat is the most versatile guitar for Rock music.

|||John D has a point Carvin is hard to beat, I like the Parkers' too but they're pricey. PRS is supposed to give you a fender or gibson sound. Santana seems to like PRS. See what the guitar players you like play and go from there.|||Fender is crap. The Fender's you see on stage are expensive custom jobs, not off the rack stuff we buy. Gibson is OK, but really pricey. Go with Ibanez, Jackson, PRS or Carvin. All are top-notch axes.|||I would get he gibson les paul ( its a versatile guitar) ... the gibson sg is also a good guitar|||I pity the fool that does not know...

I pity him and want him to feel PAIN for not knowing!!

However I love the fool at the same time, so I'd say to the fool....

"Go the Red SG... Yay team!! xx|||a seafoam green fender strutter, used, to make more of an impact.
