Why is Hall and Oates not in the rock and roll hall of fame?

Run DMC makes it, and Hall and Oates is left out.....they have a ton of hits and its actually a shame to leave such talent out....what gives???|||That is what all real H%26amp;O fans want to know. Most people do not know they have been around since the 70's and are still making music now. Together and solo. They are still the #1 selling duo of all time, yet the HOF refuses to recognize them. They were inducted into the songwriters hall of fame a few years ago. I would think that would mean more to H%26amp;O than anything. It honors their creativeness more than the HOF would.|||I think Daryl answered this question on Howard Stern. Boy, did he answer it!

Not saying they aren't good just saying it's called the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame yet I always hear hip hop artist and pop stars making the list. Hell Metallica just made the list but so many other important bands that came before them get no recognition like Alice Cooper.
